Chapter 41 - Part V(Specialized Chapter) Featuring: Li Quan and Xiao Man ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'What?!', Wei Yu cried out vehemently. Li Quan stared directly at him. Many faces turned to look at them, wondering what the commotion was about. Even the cook, Wang Zi, came out of the kitchen to get a good look at it. Wei Yu realised that he exclaimed too loudly, thus cowering down a little. They were having breakfast at the dining table peacefully, until Li Quan told him about the date. 'Shut up you idiot.' Li Quan whispered into Wei Yu's ear as he stood up to get a glass of milk from the kitchen counter. Wei Yu gave Li Quan a look which meant we-will-have-to-talk-later-since-everyone's-here while Li Quan just shrugged it off, pretending to be ignorant. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 'Hey, wait a second, don't walk so fast...' Wei Yu cried after Li Quan, as he walked as fast as his legs could carry him away from Wei Yu. 'Hey!' Li Quan ignored Wei Yu completely and carried on walking on his own. The two buddies were on their way to the company, and Li Quan was walking too quickly for him to catch up. 'Hey long legs!' 'What?' 'Stop there!' Li Quan stopped in his tracks, so that Wei Yu could catch up with him. 'What was that about earlier on?' Wei Yu asked Li Quan curiously. 'Nothing much.' 'Stop lying, what time are you going to meet her?' 'During lunch break.' 'I see...what about...' 'Stop asking will you?' Wei Yu stopped in his tracks. It was unlikely of Li Quan to say something like this, especially when he was always listening to Wei Yu ramble on about his own stuff. Li Quan noticed that his statement had affected Wei Yu, thus he fumbled about with his feet. 'Can...can you replace me during the date?' He asked cautiously, trying to overdo it. 'Huh?' 'I just remembered I have a make-up lesson today, so do you think you can take over me during the date?' 'Why must I help you?' 'Because we are friends, and besides, you can help see if she's pretty.' 'Do something that will please me first.' 'I will pay you 50 bucks.' Wei Yu was early. He sat at the table, fondling with his drink. He was trying hard to recall what Li Quan told him to do earlier, but his memory seemed to prove its disadvantage. I'll remember to love You taught me how The song continues playing gracefully through the hall, and Wei Yu continued to play with his drink. Twenty minutes has passed and Li Quan's date had not arrived. Have she forgotten? Would she even come? These worries seemed to penetrate Wei Yu's mind as he thought of how his good friend's reaction would be when he tells him that his date had not bothered to come. 'Erm, excuse me...' A soft, faint sound came from behind Wei Yu's back. It sounded really familiar, however Wei Yu could not recognise it. This made his hair stand up. 'Are you cantlivewithoutdrums?' Cantlivewithoutdrums...cantlivewithoutdrums...Isn't that Li Quan's Messenger Name? This must be her! Wei Yu stood up to pull out the chair opposite of his for the girl. After all, it was basic courtesy of him to do that. 'You must be my date, have a seat...' Wei Yu said politely, trying not to give her a bad first impression of him. He wouldn't want to ruin his good buddy's chance of confessing to his online friend. 'Thank You very much.....Wei Yu.' The voice said sweetly. 'No prob...' Wait a minute, why does she know my name? Who is she? Wei Yu looked up, to his amazement, Xiao Man was standing right next to him. She had tied up her usual short hair, wearing a pair of skinnys with a long tee. She looked better than usual, most probably because she did not bother to wear make-up at home. 'Hi Wei Yu.'
